our story
Hi all, and welcome to Balanced Butterfly.
Here’s a little about me and how this company came to be.

I was a single mom to a handsome bouncy boy and needed a way to make some extra money to take care of the unexpected life situations that pop up. I chose to become a massage therapist because I love the healing aspect of Massage. In 2007 while I worked full time as a revenue manager for Starwood Vacation Ownership, now Marriott Vacations Worldwide, I went back to school and got my license.
I had not expected to love Massage Therapy as much as I do. Massage became my focus, and my full-time job became more of a thing I had to do. I enjoy learning and try to always improve myself for my clients benefit. In 2016 I decided to get a bachelor’s degree in Organic Nutrition/Health & Wellness Coaching in order to give my clients a little more support.
My son had always been prone to bumps and dry skin. We tried all kinds of creams and lotions but both of us were having reactions to store bought creams and lotions. After all I had learned about organic nutrition and the body, I realized it was the chemicals making our skin sick. I searched for a solution and discovered how to make my own body butter that would nourish and repair our skin. Best of all there were ZERO chemicals!!
I started with a raw bar of Organic Mango Butter. I learned how to make a whipped butter adding coconut oil and almond oil. Some of my friends and family tried it and eventually they were asking if I could make them some for purchase! I was very excited about the yummy goodness I was making to help my friends and family. I learned new recipes and started incorporating new butter bases such as Cacao, Kokum and Shea butters. I started making new products and people started buying them.
With a Massage Therapy license, Organic Nutrition degree and the organic body products I decided to launch a company that would cover all of what I love to do. That is how Balanced Butterfly was born.
I believe that in order to live a healthy life, there needs to be a balance. Balance is different for everyone, but everyone can find their balance. I would be honored if you would allow me to help you find your balance. Hope to see you soon – Stay Balanced
